UK Invention “drinks” 4,000 Litres of water in 60 seconds! Tarmac UK
When flooding occurs much of the damage to properties and personal belongings is due to large amounts of water running off pavements and from overflowing drainage systems. The threat of Flash floods is ever present in many Countries and Cities. So, what if you could invent and lay down a top layer of concrete that’s super permeable and will simply allow the water to drain away back into the ground water reservoirs via an “attenuation layer” and the drainage system. This could revolutionize how concrete is laid down and although the concrete can only be used in places that don’t have freezing temperatures the application could be immense.
There are two videos here, one demonstrating the technology and the other from Tech insider explaining that if the temperature does fall to freezing or below then the whole layer would be destoryed.
