2 Mile Wide Asteroid Travelling at 40,000 Miles per Hour to Miss Earth

Just when you thought an Asteroid collision with earth was a long time off we find out that Asteroid 86666 (2000 FL10) will be passing very close to Earth. The Asteroid will pass ┬ásafely by but has got everyone talking as it is the biggest Asteroid on NASA’s Radar. Certainly this size of Asteroid hitting earth would be absolutely devastating. Nasa has released a animated projection of the Asteroids path to show how close it does come to earth. So, for the moment we are OK and any predictions of the World Ending this week are a little short of the mark. Looking forward to next week…
